About the Lab

Our research investigates the psychological factors that underlie antisocial beliefs and behaviours. To that end, we have recently examined the reasons people believe in conspiracy theories, harbour homonegative beliefs, and gaslight others. To examine the correlates of these beliefs and behaviours, it is necessary to have scales that are psychometrically sound and data that is sufficiently free of error. As such, a second focus of our research involves developing and validating new scales (e.g., the Generic Conspiracist Beliefs Scale - 5), and a third focus of our research involves designing tools for improving data quality (e.g., the Comprehensive Infrequency/Frequency Item Repository).
